During the 1930s, a town of tin shacks sprang to life in the Stockton Beach sand dunes. Since then, the community has faced countless obstacles in the forms of both extreme weather and pressure from the shifting land ownership.
‘The People of Tin City’ is a portrait of survival that takes us inside an unconventional settlement close to nature, that's played a role in spanning and moulding the lives of many generations. After surviving for nearly one hundred years however, will it be around for a hundred more?
